During March, I took the initiative to visit the national gallery in Dublin. I did this to explore the works made my Irish Artists while I was working on my placement. The piece I wanted to work on needed a solid foundation when it comes to the style, and framing. At this point of the process, I was hitting a creative wall when it came to the subject matter of the piece. Exploring the National Gallery helped me find clarity as to the process. Inspired by the delicate paint stroke on Van Gogh for the hand, I left the gallery satisfied. As I feel like I’ve found my voice in the paintings.
